Appeals Court: Testing of BSE is a diagnosis
A federal appeals court said Friday that the Bush Administration can prohibit meat packers from testing their cows
for mad cow disease. The court said testing of mad cow disease in dead cows is a diagnosis and diagnosis is part of treatment, the Associated Press reported. Disease treatment is under the control of the United States Department of Agriculture. So USDA has the right to disallow the testing. more
Fall 2008 meetings for Oklahoma wildlife enthusiasts
There will be several wildlife management workshops and field days in south-central Oklahoma during September and October, 2008. Included in the fall schedule will be two white-tailed deer workshops; a "Fire, Wildlife, Timber and Cattle Grazing" field tour; and a joint Wildlife Society/Society for Range Management meeting. more
